Recently I visited Sedona and other points in Arizona. My son was celebrating his wedding and we traveled a little, enjoying some of the wintertime sights and generally having a good time. I had no room in packing for a portfolio or, for that matter, any examples of my work. This is where The Rendered Eye came into play. I was able (computers being ubiquitous)to show others what my work looked like. Shop owners, gallery owners, and fellow artists had their computers on hand, often already on the net beside the shop counters.
Nothing beats the first hand viewing of your work. However, The Rendered Eye offers advantages that add to the appreciation of your work. Complex lighting schema brings out the color variations in the image. Showing your work framed helps the viewer appreciate the size of your work, relative to surrounding images. Also, the relatively small size of the image, combined with keystone (depending upon point of view) reduces the temptation to the would be thief (we have all suffered from this on the internet).
The Rendered Eye is first and foremost a gallery of portfolios. If you can send us your images (as e-mail attachment or mail a CD) we can frame your work beside others in a gallery setting with a URL that brings your viewers directly to your work. Also, we can provide e-mail addresses at The Rendered Eye as well as links to your site. We can provide pricing, or not, at your request. Your visitors- fellow artists, the public, gallery owners, etc. will find The Rendered Eye a welcome site free of sales pressures and a welcome atmosphere to "browse". If you wish we can provide an entire gallery devoted to your work!
Much of The Rendered Eye functions as a co-operative. We will run individual and group exhibits. Additionally we will conduct open-calls for on-line exhibits.
